    Absolute world champion in the second lightweight category Naoya Inoue (32-0, 27 KOs) commented on the victory of the fight played on Saturday, December 27th.

    In Saudi Arabia, the Japanese representative defeated Mexican Alan David Picasso by unanimous decision and defended his WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF titles.

    After the final bell, the reporter asked Inoue whether he should take the first place in the ranking of the world’s strongest boxers, which is currently occupied by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

    Japanese boxer Inoue defended his title of absolute world champion for the sixth time

    Japanese Naoya Inoue defended his title of absolute world boxing champion in the second bantamweight division.

    In a 12-round fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he defeated Mexican David Picasso by unanimous decision: 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111.

    Inoue defended his title of absolute world champion in the weight category up to 55.22 kg for the sixth time.

    The 32-year-old Japanese now has 32 victories (27 by knockout) in 32 fights. 25-year-old Picasso suffered the first defeat in his career; he also has 32 wins (17 by knockout) and one draw.

    In the co-main fight of the evening, former world champion in three weight categories, Japanese Junto Nakatani, won the second bantamweight bout over Mexican Sebastian Hernandez.

    The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended with Nakatani winning by unanimous decision: 115–113, 115–113, 118–110.

    Now 27-year-old Nakatani has 32 victories (24 by knockout) and not a single defeat. The 25-year-old Hernandez has 20 wins (18 by knockout) and one loss.
