Russian athletes won the team standings at the Muaytai World Championship
The Russian national team in Muaytai took first place in the team standings of the World Cup, which was held in Turkey.
The Russian team was represented by 44 athletes from 15 regions, according to the results of the competition, Russians won 36 medals, including 17 gold (11 in adult competitions, 6 in youth), 2 silver (1, 1) and 17 bronze (9, 8). In second place is the Ukrainian team (6, 3, 3), the team of the Philippines (5, 2, 4) – the third. Russian athletes scored 144 points, 80 from Turkey, 53 – from Ukraine.

The World Boxing World Cup was held from May 22 to May 31. Russian athletes participated in competitions in a neutral status.

Famous British organizer Frank Warren He commented on the situation around the world heavyweight champion according to WBC, WBA and IBF Alexandra Usika.
“We’ll see what happens with Oleksandr Usyk. He’s only fought once this year, which has had a negative impact on his high-level title fights. He needs to defend his belts next year. If he doesn’t do that, he’ll have to give up his titles,” Warren said.

Absolute world champion in the second lightweight category Naoya Inoue (32-0, 27 KOs) commented on the victory of the fight played on Saturday, December 27th.
In Saudi Arabia, the Japanese representative defeated Mexican Alan David Picasso by unanimous decision and defended his WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF titles.
After the final bell, the reporter asked Inoue whether he should take the first place in the ranking of the world’s strongest boxers, which is currently occupied by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
“Mr. Usyk came to watch my fight tonight, but I’m actually not very happy with my performance. I should have done much better. So I won’t say anything about the rankings and I’ll do much better next time,” Inoue admitted.
Usik visited Riyadh to watch the Japanese “Beast” fight and after the fight, he went to the ring to congratulate the champion on his victory.

The strongest boxers of our time – Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Japanese Naoya Inoue – We met in the ring of Mohammed Abdo Aren in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on December 27th.
On this day, a boxing night took place, the main event of which was the fight in the weight category up to 55.3 kg. WBC, WBO, WBA, IBF world champion Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) defeated his Mexican opponent Alan David Picasso (32-0-1, 17 KOs).
The fight continued for all 12 rounds and ended with a confident victory for the Japanese “Beast” by unanimous decision.
After the final gong, Usik approached the champion in the ring, congratulated him on his victory and shook hands. Inoue admitted that he was not 100% satisfied with his performance and appreciated the Ukrainian’s place in the ranking of the strongest boxers of our time.
Next year, Usik plans to fight against former American champion Deontay Wilder, and Naoya is considering two options: Junto Nakatani or Jesse Rodriguez.
