Aspinell: “I am the UFC champion, Jones is already retired”

Tom Aspinell’s temporary UFC champion said he considers himself an indisputable division champion and does not believe that John Jones will return to Octagon.

The 37 -year -old American Jones owns the full -fledged UFC heavyweight champion belt, but over the past two years due to frequent injuries, he spent only one battle, knocking out Stype Miocich in November 2024. UFC President Dane White in mid -May stated that the unification battle between Jones and Aspinell would be held, but did not voiced specifics. Jones himself repeatedly stated that he was not interested in the fight against Aspinell, since he was never a full champion.
