Jan twice sent an American to Canvas. Cool victory of the Russian in UFC
The rival twice visited Knockdown.
On the night of July 27, the ex-UFC champion Peter will hold a fight against American Marcus McGe as part of the UFC ON ABC 9 tournament. The third number of the rating in lightweight expects to get another chance for a title duel, but for this he needs to win and, most likely, more than once. Peter received a chance to become a champion after a brutal knockout in a battle with the American Yuraya Feiber, and brought the title, defeating another US representative – Jimmy River.

Peter Jan powerfully burst into the UFC: after spending for less than a year in Promius, he issued a series of four victories and on June 8, 2019 at the UFC 238 tournament in Chicago intended to win the fifth. The rival of the ex-ACB champion was the 29-year-old representative of the United States Jimmy River, who, however, preferred to go into the octagon under the flag of Puerto Rico.
Rivera had the experience of performances in the UFC – the American made his debut in the organization of Dane White in 2015 and for him it was already the ninth confrontation in the strongest fighting promotion. True, in the previous fights, he slowed down: the last three fights had two defeats. But still it was a rather dangerous opponent for Jan. And the next fight could well answer the question: is it merciless to fight for the title.
– Does it intend to show a spectacular battle? I always speak spectacularly. I go out and show everything that I have inside. I have no doubt that this duel will be no less spectacular than the previous ones. Of course, I will try to finish the battle ahead of schedule. I will try to fill this head and move further after another, ”Yana quoted the official social networks UFC Russia.
A surprise from merciless
Jan traditionally appeared in public with the flag of Russia, then burst into the octagon with a spectacular acrobatic jump and began to wait for the opponent. After all the formalities, the referee gave the fighters a team, and the battle began. This is not to say that Peter did everything perfectly from the first seconds. He controlled the center of the cell, but the first more or less intelligible hit by the fans waited almost a minute.
Rivera worked his feet on the hips of the opponent, and the attempts of rackets from the side of Yana easily neutralize, trying to knit his opponent. Peter did not want to fight too much, although in one of the episodes he made Tekdown’s attempt, which ended in failure. Toward the end of the round, the impression was that the American acted a little more effective, but the Russian athlete still had a surprise. Merciless a series of blows sent a visa to a knockdown and in the last seconds of five -minute was engaged in the beating of a representative of the United States.
The second round turned out to be largely similar to the first. After Knockdown River, he preferred not to take risks for some time, but then turned on. At the whole close five -minute, Peter again sent his opponent to Canvas and took the end. In the third round, the American was looking for the opportunity to knock out Jan, but only managed to poke the enemy in the eye. The Russian instead of a knockdown this time preferred to make a translation at the end of the round. The early victory did not work, but Yang won confidently: the judges unanimously gave the fight to the Russian fighter.
