The Russians broke everyone in an international tournament. They definitely did not wait for this!

Seven finals – seven victories.

Russian athletes began the international tournament in memory of Vladimir Gulidov with absolute success. Given the high level of competition, to expect seven gold awards after the first day was too bold. But our athletes did it!

On the first day of Fonbet, the international competitions of the Russian Judo Tour in Krasnoyarsk, the owners of the tatami won all seven gold medals.

A large -scale tournament gathered about 200 strongest judokas from 19 countries, including India, Cuba, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Columbia, Italy and Mongolia. The struggle takes place in 14 weight categories in men and women. According to the results of the performances, athletes can fulfill the standard for the title of master of sports of Russia of the international class.

The first day – without defeat for the owners

Among the men, the Russians did not give a victory to anyone. In weight up to 60 kg, the winner became Achita Dombuu, who received gold after his compatriot Albert Mongush could not reach the final due to an injury. Bronze medals won Homoliddn brackets from Uzbekistan and Tumenjargal Tuvshitur from Mongolia.

In the category up to 66 kg, Yago Abuladze defeated Herman Kobz, the third place was taken by Khetag Basayev and Levon Tumasyants. In weight up to 73 kg, Abubakar Yusupov turned out to be stronger than Muhiddin Asadulloev from Tajikistan, and Ruslan Aliyev took Bronze Bronze.

No less confidently held their finals and Russians. In the weight category up to 63 kg, Kamila Badurova won ahead of schedule of Sevinch Isokova from Uzbekistan, and Kristina Lepeshkova and Yana Makaretskaya became bronze medalists. In the category up to 70 kg, Daria Vasilieva turned out to be stronger than Taisiya Kireeva, bronze medals went to Safura Rustamova and Ekaterina Onoprienko.

In weight up to 78 kg, Ksenia Podvornov took gold, silver from Antonina Shmeleva, bronze – at Victoria Likhacheva. In the most difficult category over 78 kg, Marina Bukreeva defeated Mongolian Enchmenda Jargalmaa, and Angela Gasparyan and Victoria Kiseleva were divided the third place.

Bright struggle from the first fights

The chief judge of the competition Sergey Samoilovich noted that the tournament from the first minutes gave the audience a spectacular struggle.

– There are 19 countries in the competitions, and each of them has its own school, its own characteristics of behavior and even secondition. And the task of the judicial corps is to make sure that everyone is on equal terms. Despite the fact that the very beginning of the competition, the struggle is already good. Sometimes it happens that at the beginning of the tournament, the couple show such a protracted struggle, but this time “heat” in the morning. Probably just because different schools met – Russian, Asian, Latin American. We expect no less interesting finals. By the way, I myself fought in this tournament in 2008, and then then did not reach the pedestal, but there were bright memories of Krasnoyarsk. It is great that such a big city is accepted by such a large tournament, ”Samoilovich quotes KraySport.ru.

For the Angolan athlete Andre Gebo, participation in the tournament has become an important stage in development.

– Judo is interesting that it always has a place for self -development, even if you are already the world champion. And I’m not at all such a champion (laughs). And meetings with athletes of such a high level as in the Gulidov tournament – this is a tremendous experience. For the first time in Krasnoyarsk, yesterday I walked in the center – a very beautiful city. But so cold! Straight start of winter! This is because, probably, that you are in the center of Russia, – quotes the athlete’s words kraysport.ru.

Gulidov’s memorial was already part of the Russian Judo Tour series in 2022. His return to Krasnoyarsk became one of the first large -scale projects implemented by agreement concluded by Governor Mikhail Kotyukov and the Judo Federation in April 2024. Competitions in Krasnoyarsk will last another two days.

Nakatani triumphs in spectacular fight against Hernandez in Riyadh

On Saturday, December 27, Ring V boxing night is held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and its main event will be the fight for the title of absolute world champion Naoya Inoue – Alan David Picasso.

In the second most important fight, representatives of the second bantamweight (up to 55.3 kg) met – the former world champion Japanese met in the ring Junto Nakatani (31-0, 24 KOs) and undefeated Mexican Sebastian Hernandez (20-0, 18 knockouts).

Japan’s favorite gave the middle of the ring to his opponent and bet that he would be number two. Nakatani was excellent on his feet, attacking with lightning speed from favorable positions and quickly converting to long range.

The Mexican opponent decisively resisted his opponent’s blows, worked well in defense, but was inferior in speed and maneuverability.

Using his entire arsenal – punches, sides, hooks – Nakatani calmly dismantled Hernandez from distance. But after a safe start the favorite slowed down and allowed his rival to equalize the fight.

The opponent aggressively pressured Nakatani, throwing heavy punches and immediately hiding defensively to avoid missing anything heavy. Gradually, the initiative completely passed into the hands of Hernandez, who actively gained points from the judges’ notes.

In the championship rounds, both boxers continued to test each other’s mettle by throwing numerous punches. An incredibly spectacular and interesting fight, where the situation in the ring changes almost every second.

After the results of 12 rounds, the jury recorded the victory by unanimous decision of the Japanese, who can now fight with his compatriot Naoya Inoue.
