The Olympic boxing champion Iman Helif denied the information that she was completing a professional career.
On Wednesday, the former coach and manager of the athlete Namer Yesfach said that Helif did not resume training after the 2024 Olympics. Helif’s performance in the capital of France caused a wide public outcry, since a year earlier IBA retired the athlete from the World Cup from a failed gender test.
– I want to explain to the public that the news about my care from boxing is not true and are based exclusively on the statements of a person who no longer represent me in any way and who, in my opinion, betrayed trust and the country with his false and malicious statements.

I will always be faithful to boxing and my homeland, Algeria, and these false news will not stop me from continuing to protect the colors of my country and glorify it on international arenas, ”Helif wrote on social networks.
