Olympic champion Lin Yuitin will not speak at the World Cup, despite the consent to pass the gender test
The representative of Taiwan Lin Yuitin, who won the gold of the Olympiad -2024, will not take part in the World Boxing Championship, France Press Thavanya reported to the agency.
The World Cup will be held in Liverpool from September 4 to 14 under the auspices of the World Boxing organization. The decision to remove Lin Yuitin was made due to uncertainty related to the new World Boxing policy, according to which all the participants in the competition are obliged to undergo a gender test. In August, Lin Yuitin agreed to his passage.
The Boxing Federation Taiwan reported that she handed over the results of the athlete’s test in the World Boxing, but did not receive any answer.
“We cannot allow her to go to the UK without any guarantees,” the association said.
The Boxing International Association (IBA) in 2023 was removed by Lin Yuitin and Algerka Iman Helif during the World Cup in India because of the inconsistency of admission criteria, the athletes failed a gender test. In the same year, the session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) excluded IBA from the Olympic movement, and then the IOC allowed Helif and Lin Yuitin to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, where they won gold medals.
On Monday, it became known that Helif appealed to the sports arbitration court (CAS) to the World Boxing decision on the prevention of non -compliance without compulsory testing to determine the floor, asking to recognize her participation in the World Cup.
