Fights
A cool Russian woman won the World Cup. In the finale, I just declared a rival
Our team already has three victories in prestigious competitions.
In Sofia (Bulgaria), the World Judo World Cup among athletes under 18 years old. And one of his main events was the victory of the Russians Aishat Aliyeva. The young judoka climbed to the highest step of the pedestal in the weight category up to 63 kg and gave the fans a real holiday. For the Russian school of judo, this is a great achievement, because not everyone manages to win the world championship, and Aliyeva managed to confirm her class at the most important start of the season.
I pulled out the finale on the character
The final fight has become a real decoration of the tournament. The rival of Aliyeva was the Slovenian Ilaria Tsurkan – a strong and technical judok, who previously confidently walked around the tournament grid. However, the Russian woman acted collected, competently fought and managed to impose her pace with her opponent.
The culmination of the fight was an accurate and timely painful technique, which brought Aliyeva early victory and the long -awaited gold of the World Cup. A real storm of emotions reigned on the stands, and Aishat herself did not hide joy after the end of the fight. Bronze awards in this weight went to the Frenchwoman Claue Zhean and Brazilianka Larisa Fonskeke.
Second gold per season: from the European Cup to the world triumph
For Aliyeva, the victory in Sofia was already the second loud success in 2025. In May, she won the European Cup among juniors (up to 18 years old), held in Azerbaijan. The tournament gathered more than 350 participants from 12 countries, and there Aishat also looked flawless: four fights – four victories.
The well-known specialist Viktor Ivashchenko, working at the Tyumen-Judo training center, trains the young champion. It was under his leadership that Aliyev gradually turned into one of the most promising athletes of her generation, and now her name is also known in the international arena.
There is every reason to hope that for the Russian judoka this is only the beginning of a large victorious path. The transition from juniors to adult judo is not easy for everyone, but Aishat looks so confident among the peers that will probably not be lost at an adult level. Moreover, with the competent work of the personal coach and coaches of the Russian national team.
Three gold in three days
The Russians in Sofia appear in a neutral status – under the flag of the International Judo Federation (IJF), but this does not prevent them from achieving success. Rakhim Khamkhoev excited up to 66 kg in weight, where Muslim Kotiev won bronze. Another gold of Russia was brought by Nadezhda Mishenkin (up to 44 kg). Timur Aliyev bronze in the category is up to 81 kg, and Alexei Toptygin became a bronze medalist in weight up to 55 kg.
Thus, in three days the Russians won six medals and occupy the second place in an unofficial general team. Only the national team of Uzbekistan, which has four gold and two bronze. In the rest of the competition, our judoka has every chance to climb to the top for two days.
At the same time, each reward won by our guys resembles the Judo world community that this martial art is developing in Russia, and very soon new names will sound in the international arena.
