The hired killer fought with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Paciao, however, he lost both. But Kostya Zyu defeated, and very offensive. After a meeting with Hatton in the ring, the Russian-Australian boxer decided to finish his career.
Hatton did not stay in lovers for a long time, already at the age of 19 he held a debut fight in professionals. At the beginning of his career, as is usually the case, he often appeared in the ring: from September 1997 to September 1998 he spent eight battles, in each of which he won, and in half the cases ahead of schedule.
The Briton continued to work on statistics, conducting battles every 2-3 months, and no one could stop him. However, the rivals during this period were not the most powerful, and he rarely got out of his native island.
“I was ready to die”
Having won 38 victories in a row, Hatton received Costum Tszyu rivals, who at that time owned the IBF championship belt in the first welterweight. An experienced Russian came to the next defense in Manchester and met there simply monstrous resistance from the local boxer. In the end, the hired killer simply destroyed the legend, which, not wanting to be knident, decided to finish the battle in advance.
– I was not worried and was confident in victory, and this adrenaline, excitement, was just not enough for me. Hatton was hungry and was ready to die in the ring. And I, to my great regret, was no longer ready to go for it, ”Tszyu explained that failure after social networks after a while.

After this defeat, the Briton recovered, won two more victories and took a secondary title. But then there was a terrible meeting with Pacquiao, in which the hired killer visited the knockdowns twice already in the first round, and in the second was knocked out.
Evil irony
In 2012, three years after the defeat from Pakiao, Hatton returned to the ring, but, having lost to Ukrainian Vyacheslav Senchenko, actually completed his professional career. In December 2025, the 46-year-old Hatton intended to return to the ring. These plans were not destined to come true …
