American boxer Nicholson announced that his fight with Beterbiev has been canceled
American boxer Deon Nicholson announced that his fight against Russian Artur Beterbiev has been cancelled.
The fight between Nicholson and Beterbiev was scheduled for November 22 in Riyadh. The Russian has 21 wins (20 by knockout) with one defeat. Nicholson has 22 wins (18 by knockout) and also one loss.
“I just found out that my fight with Artur Beterbiev has been canceled – it’s God’s will. There will be information about the new fight soon, Nicholson wrote on the social network.
In October 2024, Beterbiev defeated Dmitry Bivol to become the undisputed light heavyweight world champion. In February 2025, Bivol took revenge and subsequently renounced the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt.
