Russian judoka Katamardov won gold at the World Junior Championships
Russian judoka Bislan Katamardov won the World Junior Championships, which took place in Lima.
In the final of the weight category over 100 kg, Katamardov defeated the Japanese Guy Hatakeyama. The bronze medals were won by Germany’s Mortaza Sucha and France’s Mateo Achiana Mongo.
Russian Alexandra Ryabchenko became the bronze medalist of the tournament in the weight category up to 78 kg. In the fight for bronze, she defeated the representative of Serbia, Jovana Stepanovic.
The Russians competed at the tournament under the flag of the International Judo Federation (IJF).
