McGregor was unceremoniously kicked out of the UFC. Finally got what he deserved!

The Irishman didn’t care about the rules. And he remained without fighting for a year and a half.

All. It seems even the UFC is tired of Conor McGregor. The 37-year-old Irishman, a former two-division champion, was suspended for 18 months for violating anti-doping policy. Formally, for three missed tests. In fact, for the fact that Conor continues to play by his own rules and believe that he can do anything.

How Conor “forgot” about the tests

The anti-doping organization Combat Sports Anti-Doping reported that McGregor failed to notify the organization of his whereabouts three times in 2024; samples were scheduled to be taken on June 13, September 19 and 20. But the inspectors were unable to take biomaterial from him. And three missed tests is an automatic violation of anti-doping rules.

Conor faced a two-year ban, but the sentence was reduced to 18 months for “full cooperation and acceptance of responsibility.” The countdown of the punishment began on September 20, 2024, and he will be able to return to the Octagon no earlier than March 20, 2026.

Fight in the White House and other crazy ideas

Before the disqualification, McGregor managed to state that he plans to fight Michael Chandler right in the White House. Yes, a UFC event on the South Lawn sounds like just another Conor fantasy, but that fight is planned for June 2026.

The last time he fought was back in July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier and broke his leg during the fight. Since then – endless conversations, posts on social networks, business projects, an alcohol brand and rare workouts. Conor’s record is 22 wins, six losses. The last victory dates back to January 2020.

Despite the disqualification, McGregor does not lose optimism and does not seem to know where to go next.

“There are people who want me to fight with my bare fists.” I know the UFC is coming up with a new contract for me or something like that. I don’t know yet what will happen. Let’s see. “I miss martial arts and I’m looking forward to what tomorrow will bring,” McGregor was quoted as saying by MMAJunkie.

You can talk as much as you like about “lawlessness” and “violations”, but the essence is the same: Conor remains Conor. He does not fit into the framework – neither sporting nor human. And while other fighters worry about ratings, contracts and tests, McGregor lives according to his own calendar.

He can disappear for three years, then announce a fight in the White House and again collect millions of views. The UFC seems to be really tired of putting up with him. And he just doesn’t care about the rules and waits for the end of the disqualification period.
