Former UFC middleweight Yoel Romero said he intends to win a fight against Vagab Vagabov, which will take place at the IBA BARE KNUCKLE 3 tournament in December.

On Friday, the IBA BARE KNUCKLE 2 tournament was held at the CSKA Arena according to the rules of fist fighting. The main fight for the league lightweight title between Emil Novruzov and Timur Musaev was canceled due to the former’s injury.

At the tournament, the head of the promotion, Umar Kremlev, announced a fight between Yoel Romero and league fighter Vagab Vagabov. The fight will take place at the IBA BARE KNUCKLE 3 tournament in December.

— Thank you very much for the invitation to your country. I know my opponent. I always like to fight with worthy fighters. “Whenever I take part in some kind of fight, I want to win,” a Match TV correspondent reports Romero’s words.

48-year-old Romero won 16 victories and suffered 7 defeats in MMA. In 2020, at UFC 248, the Cuban fought a middleweight title fight with Israel Adesanya, where he lost by decision.
