Russian fighter Evgeny Goncharov was nervous in his debut professional boxing match. This opinion was shared with Match TV by ex-WBC Silver champion and Goncharov’s second Dmitry Kudryashov.

On Friday in Vologda, Goncharov made a successful debut in the professional ring, defeating ex-UFC fighter American Greg Hardy by technical knockout in the fourth round. In MMA, Hardy fought with Alexander Volkov, Sergei Spivak, Tai Tuivasa and others.

— The Octagon is an octagon, but there are only four corners. Probably, it was the excitement and too much desire to knock out the opponent. Not everything worked out. But as they say: winners are not judged,” Kudryashov told Match TV.

Goncharov announced in May that he was taking a break from his career and renouncing the ASA heavyweight belt. He has 22 victories, three defeats, one fight was declared invalid. The 39-year-old fighter’s winning streak is seven fights.
