Russian boxer Kool defeated his opponent from Guinea-Bissau by knockout in the first round and reached the quarter finals of the World Cup in Dubai
Russian boxer Evgeniy Kool reached the quarterfinals of the World Championship in Dubai (UAE).
In the 1/8 finals in the weight category up to 67 kg, he knocked out Matheus Barbosa Da Costa from Guinea-Bissau in the first round. The duration of the fight was 46 seconds.
Dzhambulat Bizhamov defeated the representative of Kazakhstan Erasyl Zhakpekov in the weight category up to 80 kg. The Russian won by a split decision: four judges gave the victory to Bizhamov with the same score of 29-28, one thought that Bizhamov was defeated – 28-29.
Russian Muslim Gadzhimagomedov reached the quarterfinals in the weight category up to 92 kg. In the 1/8 finals, he defeated Abdulla Rajapov, who represents Cambodia, by unanimous decision: 30–27, 30–27, 30–27, 30–27, 30–27.
The World Men’s Boxing Championship runs from December 2 to 13. 13 Russian boxers started in the tournament, the team performs with national symbols – the flag and anthem of Russia. The prize fund of the tournament is $8.32 million.
