Monson said that he was not allowed into Moldova for the fight against Soltoianu
Russian fighter Jeff Monson told Match TV that the Moldovan authorities denied him entry into the country where he was supposed to fight at an FEA tournament.
On November 29, Monson was supposed to fight in Chisinau against Moldovan Ion Soltoianu.
“Yes, I, along with my coach, were detained at the airport in Moldova and denied entry because of my support for Russia,” Monson told Match TV.
Monson has been a Russian citizen since May 2018; at the end of May 2023, he surrendered his American passport at the US Consulate in Istanbul.

Trump reaches out to Paul after Joshua breaks Jake’s jaw
US President Donald Trump shared his impressions of the fight between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, which ended in the defeat of the blogger-boxer.
“I watched the fight between Jake Paul and Anthony on the plane. Paul performed very well. Anthony, who is very talented and strong, showed great courage in his fight with Joshua.
