Russian judoka Tasuev won silver at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi

Russian judoka Abdul-Kerim Tasuev took second place at the Grand Slam tournament, which takes place in Abu Dhabi.

On Saturday, Tasuev lost to Canadian Francois Gaultier-Drapeau in the final bout in the weight category up to 81 kilograms. Bronze medalists were Victor Sterpu (Moldova) and Sunatullo Musoev (Tajikistan).

Earlier at the tournament in Abu Dhabi, Russian Ayub Bliev (up to 60 kg) won gold.

On Thursday, the executive committee of the International Judo Federation (IJF) returned to Russian judokas the right to compete at international tournaments under the national flag, anthem and symbols. Previously, athletes from Russia competed in a neutral status.

The Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi will end on Sunday, November 30.
