Russian boxer Surov reached the semi-finals of the World Championships in Dubai
Russian David Surov has reached the semi-finals of the World Boxing Championship, which is taking place in Dubai (UAE).
In the quarter finals in the weight category over 92 kg, Surov defeated Mirzakir Koshaliev from Kyrgyzstan by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27, 29-28, 30-27).
Russian Ismail Mutsolgov (up to 75 kg) defeated Scot Alan Perry (30-27, 30-26, 30-27, 30-25, 30-26) in the quarterfinal match by unanimous decision of the judges. Sharabutdin Ataev (up to 86 kg) also advanced to the next stage of the tournament. In the fight against Uzbekistan’s Akmaljon Isroilov, the majority of judges gave victory to the Russian boxer (30–27, 30–27, 29–28, 29–28, 29–28).
