Gadzhimagomedov reached the semi-finals of the World Boxing Championship
Russian Muslim Gadzhimagomedov made it to the semi-finals of the World Boxing Championship, which is taking place in Dubai (UAE).
In the quarterfinals in the weight category up to 92 kg, Gadzhimagomedov defeated Vagkan Nanitzanyan from Greece. The fight lasted all three rounds and ended with Gadzhimagomedov winning by unanimous decision. The Russian’s next opponent will be Spaniard Emmanuel Reyes Pla.
Another representative of Russia, Sergey Koldenkov (up to 71 kg), defeated Thiago Osorio Muxanga from Mozambique in the ¼ finals by unanimous decision of the judges. Koldenkov’s next opponent will be Bayramdurdy Nurmukhammedov (Turkmenistan).
Dzhambulat Bizhamov in the quarterfinals in the weight category up to 80 kg defeated Robert Okaka from Kenya by unanimous decision and will meet with Gazimagomed Khalidov (Spain).
The men’s world boxing championship will end on December 13. 13 Russian boxers started in the tournament, the team performs with national symbols – the flag and anthem of Russia. The competition’s prize fund is $8.32 million.
