Kravtsov: “For me personally, there is nothing surprising in the fact that all 13 Russians reached the semi-finals of the World Boxing Championship”

The Russian boxing team is strong, and there is nothing unexpected in the maximum representation of Russians in the semi-finals of the World Championship, Eduard Kravtsov, chairman of the coaching council of the Russian Boxing Federation, told Match TV.

The quarterfinal stage of the World Championship ended in Dubai on Wednesday. All 13 Russian boxers overcame this milestone, reaching the semi-finals and guaranteeing themselves medals.

“We should all be congratulated on our excellent performance so far.” For the first time in history, all members of the Russian national team reached the semi-finals of the Men’s World Championship. That is, everyone will return with medals. For me personally, this is no surprise, given the level of our team. We have a very balanced team, there are no weak weights lagging behind. Yes, some had more difficult battles. Let’s hope for successful performances in the semi-finals and, accordingly, in the finals,” Kravtsov told Match TV.

At the World Championships, the Russian team performs with national attributes. The tournament’s prize fund is $8.32 million. The boxer will receive $300,000 for victory, $150,000 for second place, $75,000 for third place, and $10,000 for fifth place. The distribution of this fee will be in the following ratio: 50% to the boxer, 25% to the coach, 25% to the national federation.

All World Championship fights are broadcast on Match TV and Match! Fighter”.
