Russian judokas Matvey Kanikovsky and Inal Tasoev won bronze medals at the Grand Slam tournament in Tokyo.

In the weight category up to 100 kg, Kanikovsky defeated Israeli representative Joseph Simin in the fight for bronze.

Tasoev defeated Kim Min Jong from South Korea in the over 100 kg category.

The Grand Slam tournament takes place in Tokyo on December 6–7.

On November 27, the executive committee of the International Judo Federation (IJF) returned to Russian judokas the right to compete at international tournaments under the national flag, anthem and symbols.
