Kool and Shumkov reached the final of the World Boxing Championship in the UAE
Russian boxers Evgeny Kool and Vsevolod Shumkov reached the final of the World Championship, which is taking place in Dubai (UAE).
In the semi-finals of the up to 67 kg weight category, Kool defeated Hovhannes Bachkov from Armenia by split decision.
Shumkov (up to 60 kg) defeated Akmal Ubaidov from Tajikistan by unanimous decision.
The men’s world boxing championship will end on December 13. 13 Russian boxers started in the tournament, the team performs with national symbols – the flag and anthem of Russia. The competition’s prize fund is $8.32 million.
