Bijamov, Gadzhimagomedov and Surov reached the final of the World Boxing Championship in the UAE
Russian boxers Dzhambulat Bijamov, Muslim Gadzhimagomedov and David Surov reached the final of the World Championship in Dubai (UAE).
Bizhamov defeated Spaniard Gazimagomed Zhalidov by unanimous decision in the semi-finals of the up to 80 kg weight category. Gadzhimagomedov (up to 92 kg) defeated Emmanuel Reyes Pla from Spain by unanimous decision, Surov (over 92 kg) defeated Mahammad Abdullayev from Azerbaijan.
Also, nine more Russians reached the finals: Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg), Bair Batlayev (up to 51 kg), Vyacheslav Rogozin (up to 54 kg), Vsevolod Shumkov (up to 60 kg), Ilya Popov (up to 63.5 kg), Evgeniy Kool (up to 67 kg), Sergey Koldenkov (up to 71 kg), Ismail Mutsolgov (up to 75 kg) and Sharabutdin Ataev (up to 86 kg).
Andrey Peglivanyan (up to 57 kg) lost to Orazbek Assyklov from Kazakhstan and became the bronze medalist of the tournament.
The final matches will take place on Saturday.
