Okolie dealt with his opponent calmly and will now fight Itauma
On the night of December 21, a heavyweight ratings fight took place in Lagos, Nigeria, in which the British participated. Lawrence Okoli (22–1, 17 KOs) and representative of Ghana Ebenezer Tetteh (23–3, 20 knockouts),
The favourite, as expected, took the initiative from the first seconds, easily crushing his Ghanaian opponent with long-range emphatic shots and moving well on his feet.
Okolie caught Ebenezer well with a straight right and added a right cross. The Briton very easily penetrated the defense of his opponent, who almost did not counter-attack and was more concerned with survival.
In the second round, Lawrence continued to connect – right and left hooks and jabs were flying towards Tette. Ebenezer went down, somehow waited for the gong, and didn’t come out for the next 3 minutes.
Okolie will have to meet compatriot Moses Itauma in his next fight to determine the opponent of WBC world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
