Dvalishvili after defeat by Petr Yan: “Today was not my day, but I will come back stronger”
Georgian MMA fighter Merab Dvalishvili thanked the fans on his social networks after his defeat to Petr Yan.
Dvalishvili lost to Russian fighter Petr Yan in the main event at UFC 323 in Las Vegas. After five rounds, the judges unanimously gave victory to the Russian, who became the bantamweight champion.
“Today was not my day, but I will come back stronger than ever.” “Thank you to everyone who supported me,” Dvalishvili wrote on the social network X.
The first fight between the fighters took place in March 2023, then Dvalishvili won by unanimous decision.
The 34-year-old Georgian fighter has 21 victories and five defeats in the UFC.
