Gassiev defeated Pulev to win the WBA regular champion title
Russian boxer Murat Gassiev defeated Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev and won the title of regular World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion.
The fight, which took place as part of the BETCITY IBA.PRO 13 tournament in Dubai, ended with Gassiev winning by knockout in the sixth round.
32-year-old Gassiev has 33 victories in the professional ring with two defeats, 44-year-old Pulev won 32 victories and suffered four defeats.
The IBA.PRO 13 tournament was broadcast live on the Match TV and Match Fighter channels.
