Russian boxer Murat Gassiev dedicated his victory over Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev in the title fight to his mother.

The fight took place as part of the BETCITY IBA.PRO 13 tournament in Dubai and ended with Gassiev’s victory by knockout in the sixth round. The World Boxing Association (WBA) regular world heavyweight title was at stake.

“I dedicate the victory to my mother, who sacrificed everything for us. This victory is for her. Pulev is an experienced opponent, so it was tough. He was constantly shifting, breaking the distance. With each round we changed tactics little by little, and in the end we managed to land the blow.

The opponent is tall, uses his anthropometric data well, so it was difficult to reach his head.

32-year-old Gassiev has 33 victories in the professional ring with two defeats, 44-year-old Pulev won 32 victories and suffered four defeats.

The IBA.PRO 13 tournament was broadcast live on the Match TV and Match Fighter channels.
