Russian judokas took second place in the medal standings at the Grand Slam tournament in Tokyo
Russian judokas took second place in the medal standings at the Grand Slam tournament, which took place in Tokyo.
The Russians won one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
Gold belongs to Valery Endovitsky (weight category over 100 kg), silver to Madina Taymazova (up to 70 kg). Bronze medalists were Timur Arbuzov (up to 81 kg), Matvey Kanikovsky (up to 100 kg) and Inal Tasoev (over 100 kg).
The first position in the medal standings was taken by the Japanese team (11 gold, 11 silver, 15 bronze medals), the top three was completed by the South Korean team (1-1-1).
On November 27, the executive committee of the International Judo Federation (IJF) returned to Russian judokas the right to compete at international tournaments under the national flag, anthem and symbols.
