Batlayev won silver at the World Boxing Championships in the UAE
Russian boxer Bair Batlayev won silver at the World Championships in Dubai (UAE).
Batlayev lost to Khasanboy Dusmatov from Uzbekistan in the final in the weight category up to 51 kg.
Batlaev is 25 years old, he is a three-time Russian champion.
Earlier, Andrey Peglivanyan (up to 57 kg) won bronze at the World Championships, and Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg) won the silver medal. Another 10 Russians will compete in the final bouts.
Russian athletes perform at the tournament with national symbols – a flag and anthem.
The competition’s prize fund is $8.32 million.
