Russian boxer Rogozin won silver at the World Championships in the UAE
Russian boxer Vyacheslav Rogozin won silver at the World Championships in Dubai (UAE).
Rogozin lost to 2021 world champion Saken Bibosynov from Kazakhstan by split decision in the final in the up to 54 kg weight category.
Rogozin is 19 years old and the 2025 Russian champion.
Earlier, Andrey Peglivanyan (up to 57 kg) won bronze at the World Championships; Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg) and Bair Batlayev (51 kg) won silver medals. Nine more Russians will compete in the final bouts.
Russian athletes perform at the tournament with national symbols – a flag and anthem.
The competition’s prize fund is $8.32 million.
