Russian boxer Gadzhimagomedov won a gold medal at the World Championships in Dubai
Russian boxer Muslim Gadzhimagomedov won gold at the World Championships in Dubai (UAE).
In the final in the weight category up to 92 kg, Gadzhimagomedov defeated the 2025 world champion Turabek Khabibullaev from Uzbekistan by unanimous decision of the judges.
Gadzhimagomedov is 28 years old, a silver medalist at the 2020 Olympic Games and the first three-time world champion in the history of Russian boxing.
Earlier, Vsevolod Shumkov (up to 60 kg), Ilya Popov (up to 63.5 kg), Ismail Mutsolgov (up to 75 kg), Dzhambulat Bizhamov (up to 80 kg), Sharabutdin Ataev (up to 86 kg) won gold at the World Championships in the UAE; silver medalists were Edmond Khudoyan (up to 48 kg), Bair Batlaev (up to 51 kg), Vyacheslav Rogozin (up to 54 kg), Evgeny Kool (up to 67 kg), Sergey Koldenkov (up to 71 kg), bronze – Andrey Peglivanyan (up to 57 kg).
Later, David Surov will fight Arman Makhanov from Uzbekistan in the final fight in the weight category over 92 kg.

The competition’s prize fund is $8.32 million.

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.
At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.

Russian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan said that he will give his compatriot Sharabutdin Magomedov, nicknamed Shara Bullet, an apartment in Yerevan if he defeats him in a grappling fight.
The fight is scheduled for December 30 and should take place in Yerevan.
“If Shara wins against me, then I will personally give him an apartment in Yerevan,” Tsarukyan said in a video published on the Red Corner MMA page on the X social network.
