Winner of WBC, WBA and IBF heavyweight titles (over 90.7 kg), Ukrainian Alexander Usik He flew to Riyadh for the Ring V boxing night, which will take place on Saturday, December 27.
The main event of the show will be the fight for the title of absolute world champion in the second bantamweight (up to 55.3 kg) – Mexican rival Alan David Picasso (32-0-1, 17 KOs) will try to defeat the undisputed favorite Naoya Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) from Japan.
Usyk arrived at the arena alongside influential promoter Eddie Hearn, with whom he had crossed paths several times before and with whom he has consistently maintained a warm relationship.
In the second most important event, former world champion Junto Nakatani from Japan will step into the ring against Sebastian Hernandez from Mexico. If no sensation happens, one of the most anticipated fights will take place next year: Nakatani vs. Inoue.
