Emelianenko returned his first love years later. The amazing fate of a great fighter

The last emperor left for a while, only to return forever.

The legend of mixed martial arts Fedor Emelianenko is known to most fans for his sporting successes, and many have heard about the personal life of the Last Emperor only in the context of the conflict with his brother Alexander.

However, the love story of the MMA star is unusual and serves as a reminder that anything can happen in life.

“New Family”

Fedor Emelianenko held his first official fight in 2000, the last one at the moment – in 2023. At the dawn and twilight of his career, next to the Last Emperor was his wife Oksana. But at the same time, for a significant part of the sporting career, the Russian fighter’s companion was another woman.

Fedor met his first love Oksana during his school years. Young Emelianenko went to the camp for training, and his chosen one worked there as a counselor. After military service in the army, the soldier proposed to his beloved: in 1999, the couple registered their marriage, and soon a daughter, Maria, was born into the young family.

Fedor’s career was going uphill – he shone in Japanese promotions, defeating one strong opponent after another. Few fans followed the fighter’s personal life; for Fedor’s fans, his successes in the cage were more important. Therefore, many learned about the divorce from his wife from the champion.

– Yes, indeed, changes have occurred in my family. We broke up with Oksana: two years ago she and her daughter Mashenka moved to St. Petersburg… But we maintain relations, I communicate with both Masha and Oksana. And now I have a new family. We have known Marina for quite a long time; on December 29, our daughter was born,” Fedor said in an interview at the beginning of 2008.

Church wedding and five daughters

Fedor registered his marriage with Marina after the birth of his daughter Vasilisa. In 2011, the couple had a second daughter, Elizabeth. The fighter, as always, tried not to let strangers into his personal life. But the sports hall was open to everyone. And it just so happened that at the turn of the decade, the Last Emperor encountered difficulties. Emelianenko lost three fights in a row, all of them prematurely.

Having closed his defeats, Fedor took a break from his career for three and a half years. And during this period, a lot changed for him outside the martial arts hall. He divorced Marina and returned to Oksana, who had been waiting for him all this time. To emphasize that this time he returned not temporarily, but forever, Emelianenko decided to marry his wife in church. After some time, the couple had two more daughters. Fedor does not advertise their names.

FURY: “He was just running around the ring. Nonsense, if I was with Usik…”

Tommy Fury He spoke harshly about Jake Paul’s performance in the fight against Anthony Joshua:

“Look, it’s all about money, right? Money and all that. It’s like I had a fight with Usyk – complete nonsense. This whole fight was just for attention to sell the show. From a boxing perspective, there’s nothing to analyze here.”

One of them ran lap after lap around the ring like he was on an athletics track, and Joshua didn’t even break a sweat. “To be honest, this is complete nonsense.”

A big boxing show took place in Miami, USA, on the night of December 19-20, 2025. In the main fight, American entertainer Jake Paul and former world champion Anthony Joshua entered the ring. The fight ended in the sixth round – AJ brutally knocked out his opponent.

The Kremlin called on international organizations to develop rules banning transgender people from participating in women’s competitions

International Boxing Association (IBA) President Umar Kremlev has called on international sporting bodies to develop rules to protect women’s sports and ban transgender athletes from all women’s competitions following recent statements by US President Donald Trump about boxing competitor Iman Khelif.

Trump, during a recent speech, recalled the situation at the boxing competition at the Paris Olympics in 2024, where Algerian Iman Khelif won the gold medal. Previously, she was deprived of the right to participate in women’s boxing competitions under the auspices of the IBA. Trump stressed the importance of strict rules to protect female athletes.

“We remember the last Olympic Games not by sports records or vivid emotions, but by how Paris became a symbol of mockery of women and their rights. Unfortunately, so far no one has been held accountable for the fact that athletes who did not meet the admission criteria were allowed to compete. Now it is necessary to make a strong-willed decision at the state level to protect female athletes. I would like to once again thank President Trump for his strong stance on banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports. This demonstrates strong leadership and vision ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games and sets a strong example for other heads of state. Now the time has come for all sports to develop rules similar to boxing: transgender athletes should not compete with women, the IBA press service quotes Kremlev.

Kremlev stressed that the IBA is the only international federation that has already taken responsibility by developing an official policy to protect the women’s categories by defining a gender perspective in the IBA technical and competition rules, as well as introducing gender tests during IBA competitions.

“It is our responsibility to protect the women’s categories so that athletes can compete on a level playing field, knowing that the rules are applied strictly, consistently and transparently.” In boxing, we chose the most honest path – we banned transgender athletes from participating in women’s competitions, establishing admission criteria,” Kremlev said.
