Omarov defeated Suleymanov by choke and defended his ACA featherweight title
The current ACA featherweight champion, Russian Islam Omarov, defended his title in a fight against compatriot Alikhan Suleymanov at the ACA 198 tournament in Grozny.
Omarov won in the first round by choke.
The fighters already met in July 2023, when Omarov won by technical knockout in the second round. Omarov has 17 victories in MMA. Suleymanov has 17 wins and 5 losses.
In the co-main event of the evening, Russian Daud Shaikhaev and Brazilian representative Herdeson Batista fought for the title of interim lightweight champion of the organization. Shaikhaev won by unanimous decision.
Also, as part of the main card, Kazakhstani Kairat Akhmetov defeated Russian Mansur Khatuev by a split decision.
Slovakian Tomas Deck defeated Russian Rasul Albaskhanov by unanimous decision, and Russian Sulim Batalov knocked out Kazakhstan’s Asylzhan Bakytzhanuly in the middle of the first round.

An MMA fighter beat up his stylist neighbor and threatened his little children with a gun because of the noise.
In Odintsovo, near Moscow, a mixed martial arts fighter beat up a stylist neighbor and threatened his wife and small children with a pistol because of the noise, reports the Mash Telegram channel.
According to the publication, 33-year-old MMA fighter Andrei R., who works as a security guard and personal driver, went to his neighbors downstairs to investigate. After the stylist opened the door, the man hit him in the head several times. The incident was witnessed by the stylist’s wife and children – a three-year-old son and a 1.5-year-old daughter.
After the conflict, the fighter returned to his apartment. When the victim approached his door, it suddenly opened – a neighbor came out with a gun, pointed it at the man and began shouting that he would “shoot” his family. As a result, another neighbor snatched the weapon from his hands.
Police and ambulance arrived at the scene. The stylist was taken to the hospital with a concussion and bruises, and after that the children were under severe stress and did not sleep for several nights.
It is noted that the conflict between neighbors has been going on since 2023. First, Andrei R. complained about the repairs, and then about the stomping, toys and crying of children, and threatened with complaints to the commission on juvenile affairs and the presence of “connections.”
