VIDEO. On the eve of the championship fight, Kabayel and Knyba had a staring duel
On Saturday, January 10, a boxing night will be held at the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, and the main event will be the fight for the title of interim world champion.
Representatives of the super heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) who will compete for the WBC Interim belt will meet in the ring – Agit Kabayel (26-0, 18 KOs) from Germany and Polish opponent Damian Knyba (17-0, 11 knockouts).
The boxers held a press conference the day before and had a traditional duel. Kabayel admitted that he was happy to step into the ring against an undefeated opponent, but he thinks the real challenge is the fight against Ukrainian Alexander Usik.
Agit last appeared in the ring in February 2025 and defeated Chinese representative Zhang Zhilei by knockout in the fifth round. Knyba stopped American Joey Dawejko (KO 7) in early October.
