Warren reveals whether he’s ready to pit Moses Itauma against Usyk
British organizer Frank Warren undefeated admits whether he is ready to field his ward Moses Itaumu (13-0, 11 KOs) against WBA, WBC and IBF heavyweight world champion Alexander Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs).
“A fight against Usik? Maybe, but first let’s see how Musa performs against Jermaine Franklin on January 24. Itauma will fight a man who has never lost by stoppage.”
He fought Anthony Joshua four years ago, right? And AJ couldn’t stop him. He faced Dillian Whyte and got into a very close fight. The decision could go either way.
Moreover, Franklin had plenty of time to prepare for this war. Jermaine was training. This isn’t a last minute change or anything like that. He has every chance to win. This is going to be a tough fight for Moses,” Warren said.
The fight between Itauma and Franklin will take place on January 24 at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England.
