Usyk was accused of avoiding a fight. He accepted the fight first
Unified World Heavyweight Champion Alexandra Usika He was accused of avoiding a fight he had allegedly agreed to before.
According to the source, after the Ukrainian player voluntarily gave up his WBO title, Fabio Wardley’s manager Michael Ofo said that Usik’s team first agreed on all the terms of the fight, then “withdrew”. Wardley, who rose to the full WBO title after defeating Joseph Parker and testing positive for doping, awaits his first defense in the spring.
Usyk, who holds the WBC, IBF and WBA belts after his early victory against Daniel Dubois, said that the fight with Wardley does not interest him yet. Instead, he wants to meet with Ukrainian player Deontay Wilder. In this context, Ofo criticizes the champion, believing that he escaped from his ward.
