Eddie HEARN: “Joshua will announce his decision himself. Wait”
Promoter Eddie Hearn believes heavyweight Anthony Joshua will return to the ring, but the boxer himself will make a statement about his future career.
Previously, information had emerged that the Briton wanted to end his career after two of his friends died in an accident.
“Yes, I think Anthony will take a significant break from boxing. He needs time after the deaths of his friends. It is difficult to prepare yourself for such tragedies. And when the time comes, Joshua will announce his decision, just wait.”
“But you’ll hear it from him, not from anyone else. Joshua will talk about his future himself. I think he’ll want to come back, but we won’t be discussing that anytime soon,” Hearn said.
Joshua was in the car at the time of the crash but was not seriously injured.

Gvozdyk will fight in the new organization formed by Turki Al-Sheikh
Former world light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg) Alexander Gvozdyk (21-2, 17 KOs) is likely to fight his next fight under the auspices of new organization Zuffa Boxing.
Zuffa Boxing is a professional boxing promotional company founded by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White and General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh.
This is a closed organization where each weight will have a champion and its own roster of boxers. White and Al-Sheikh have repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the presence of multiple champions in each division (WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF).
Gvozdyk’s opponent will be multiple world title challenger Radivoje Kalajdzic (29-3, 21 KOs), who represents the United States but is a citizen of Serbia.
The event will take place on February 1 at the Meta Apex arena in Las Vegas (USA). The fight was reported by insider and columnist Dan Rafael.
It has not been officially announced, but this is a fight that is being fought as I was told. https://t.co/9OvxIg0FgO

WBA champion Davis wanted for beating his ex-girlfriend
Police in Miami Gardens (Florida, USA) have put WBA lightweight champion American boxer Gervonta Davis on the wanted list for beating his ex-girlfriend, ESPN reports.
An arrest warrant has been issued on charges including false imprisonment, battery and attempted kidnapping.
According to the publication, the incident occurred in October 2025 in one of the clubs where the woman worked. According to investigators, Davis attacked her in a utility room where there were no cameras. The boxer grabbed his ex-lover by the back of the head, forcibly dragged her to the exit, and then beat her in the parking lot. She was left with bruises on her left arm. A few days after the beating, she filed a police report. It is noted that Davis had been in a relationship with a girl for several months.
“The Miami Gardens Police Department is currently actively working with the U.S. Marshals Task Force to locate and apprehend Davis,” police spokesman Emmanuel Ginty said.
Previously, the boxer was arrested several times for domestic violence.
The 31-year-old Davis has 31 fights, in which he scored 30 wins and one draw. The American had his last official fight against compatriot Lamont Roach Jr. in March 2025, the fight ended in a draw.

Lennox LEWIS: “The cat got fat. I couldn’t do anything against this boxer.”
Legendary heavyweight Lennox Lewis He commented on the fight between Saul Alvarez and Terence Crawford in Las Vegas.
“Canelo lost because Crawford is still hungry to win? Maybe that’s true. The cat got really fat. But Saul did everything he could. He fought like he always did, but he couldn’t do anything to Crawford because Terence was fast and very cunning. Every boxer would have problems with him, the Mexican couldn’t figure out his keys,” Lennox said.
On the night of September 14, 2025, a large-scale boxing night was held at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (USA), the main event of which was the fight for the title of absolute world champion.
