Shevchenko concisely addressed Usyk and congratulated Alexander

On Saturday, January 17, the legendary Ukrainian boxer celebrates his 39th birthday Alexander UsikThree-time absolute world champion.

UAF President Andrey Shevchenko Addressing Alexander succinctly, he congratulated the athlete on the holiday: “Happy birthday, friend,” wrote Shevchenko, attaching a general photo.

World champion by WBC, WBA and IBF super heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) Alexander Usik (24-0, 15 KOs) chatted with his old rival, Briton Anthony Joshua (29-4, 25 KOs).

The former world champion had a terrible accident in which he lost his friends and mentors – Robert Lutz and Sina Gami. Usik admitted that he spoke with Anthony and heard in his voice the desire to continue his professional career.

Former Bellator titleholder and current UFC fighter Yaroslav Amosov (29-1) admitted that he was ready to enter the octagon to fight against the Russians.

He understands the political situation, but is confident that a victory over a representative of the aggressor country would be a welcome gift for Ukrainian fans.

It was also learned that Usik was in cooperation talks with Zuffa Boxing. It is a professional boxing promotional company founded by Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White and General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh.

UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria said he is ready to return to the Octagon in the first half of 2026.

Undefeated champion Topuria (17 wins/0 losses) took a break from his career for personal reasons. In this regard, the UFC management has appointed a fight for the interim lightweight champion title between American Justin Gaethje and Briton Paddy Pimblett.

— I’ll be back in April-June. I will fight the winner of the fight between Justin and Paddy,” Topuria said on social networks in a conversation with subscribers.

The fight between Gaethje and Pimblett will take place on January 24 and will headline the UFC 324 tournament in Las Vegas (USA). The 37-year-old Gaethje won 26 victories and suffered five defeats in fights under MMA rules. The 30-year-old Briton Pimblett has 23 wins and three defeats.
