This is the twist. A boxer from Russia gets a chance to fight for the Crawford title
The vacant IBF world title in the super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg) will be played by the Cuban with the first number in the rating. Osleis Iglesias (14-0, 13 KOs) and Russian boxer Pavel Silyagin (15–0–1, 7 knockouts).
The former owner of the belt, American Terence Crawford, ended his professional career, leaving all titles vacant. The International Boxing Federation tried to find an opponent for Iglesias for a long time, but many attempts were unsuccessful.
The former world champions representing Mexico refused to fight at first. Saul Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs, third place) continues his recovery from injury while Jaime Munguia (45-2, 35 KOs, fourth place) is scheduled to fight Jose Resendiz for the WBA title.

Ukrainian heavyweight Victor Vykhrist He scored a quick victory over Macedonian Todorce Tsvetkov.
The WBO European belt fight took place in Flensburg, Germany, and Vykhrist knocked out his opponent at the beginning of the first round.

The fight lasted 29 seconds – Victor delivered a series of powerful blows, Tsvetkov managed to get to his feet, but could not continue the fight.
Initially, the fight was planned to take place on January 10 on the undercard of the fight between WBC interim champion Agit Kabaela and Damian Kniba, but the Ukrainian’s performance was unsuccessful.

On Saturday, January 17, the Ukrainian boxing legend turned 39 years old. Alexander Usyk – three-time absolute world champion.

“Happy birthday to Alexander the Great Usik. Boxing, whether today or yesterday, is always ruled by the heavyweights. And what a fighter he is; at 39, he continues to rule everyone with him 🎉🙏,” Atlas wrote on Instagram.
Alexander was born in Simferopol in 1987 and spent most of his childhood in the Chernihiv region. In his personal life, Usik is a family man: together with his wife Ekaterina, he raises four children: two sons and two daughters.
