Bivol nominated for the title of best boxer of 2025 according to The Ring
World champion according to WBA, WBO, IBF light heavyweight, Russian Dmitry Bivol, was among the nominees for the title of best boxer of 2025 according to The Ring magazine, the press service of the publication reports.
In February 2025, Bivol took revenge from Artur Beterbiev and became the absolute light heavyweight champion. He later renounced the WBC title. Bivol has been recovering from back surgery since August.
It is reported that the award ceremony will take place on January 30 in New York. In addition to Bivol, the nominees included Americans Terence Crawford and Jesse Rodriguez, Japanese Naoya Inoue and Briton Fabio Wardley.
It is also noted that the second fight between Bivol and Beterbiev is nominated for the title “Fight of the Year”.
Bivol won 24 victories (12 by knockout) and suffered one defeat in the professional ring.
