Klitschko: “This is not true, it is manipulation. I find this unacceptable”
A legendary boxer in the past and mayor of Kyiv today Vitali Klitschko He responded to accusations that Kiev was not ready for winter.
“There are now many different manipulations and outright lies about whether Kiev is ready for winter. The day before the devastating major attack, I had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine. I conveyed all the threats and risks that could arise from heavy damage to critical infrastructure. He reported how the city was prepared.”
He proposed the creation of a joint headquarters to respond to a possible emergency and deal with its consequences. They listened to us. Then on January 9 there was a major attack on the capital.
There was no coordination of efforts at that time regarding joint actions with the government. And just yesterday they announced the establishment of a national headquarters. And they remembered Kiev with false accusations. Instead of constructiveness – again, unfortunately, politics. I think this is unacceptable in such a situation! When it comes to people’s safety, health and lives. But we continue to work and do our best!
And we told and showed the public how Kiev is preparing for winter, what all services do in summer, autumn and already in winter. Klitschko stated that all information is available in open sources.

UFC champion’s manager Harrison: “The doctor said that without surgery she could be permanently paralyzed”
Manager Ali Abdel-Aziz, who represents the interests of UFC bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison, spoke about the athlete’s health.
On January 24, Harrison was scheduled to fight Amanda Nunes at UFC 324, but withdrew from the fight, revealing that she had undergone neck surgery.
“This situation with the neck injury has been going on for a long time. Kayla hasn’t been 100% fit for the last three years. She always had a tingling sensation in her neck, and often she could not raise her arm at all. She was given injections, given a bunch of anti-inflammatory medications, but nothing helped.
The UFC flew her to New York, and the doctor there immediately said that she needed surgery, because otherwise she could remain paralyzed forever. The disc was pressing on the spinal cord. But I’ll tell you this: immediately after the operation, all the pain went away,” MMA Fighting quotes Abdel-Aziz.
35-year-old Harrison won 19 victories and one defeat in MMA. She has owned the championship belt since the summer of 2025 and has not yet made a single defense.
