Justin Gaethje defeated Paddy Pimblett to become interim UFC lightweight champion

American fighter Justin Gaethje defeated Englishman Paddy Pimblett in the main fight at UFC 324 in Las Vegas.

The fight for the interim lightweight champion belt lasted all five rounds. Gaethje won by unanimous decision. The holder of the full title, Spanish fighter Ilia Topuria, took a break from his career for personal reasons.

The 37-year-old Gaethje won 27 victories and suffered five defeats in MMA. Pimblett, 31, has 23 wins and four losses.
