Oleksandr Usyk joins Polesie at training camp in Spain
World champion by WBC, WBA and IBF super heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) Alexander Usik (24-0, 15 KOs) joined Zhytomyr Polesie at the training camp in Spain.
Wolves press service reported: “World boxing champion Alexander Usik attended the training camp of FC Polesie in Spain.
The legendary athlete gave motivational lessons to the team’s players on character, discipline and fortitude, which are decisive not only in sports but also in life. The champion’s words turned into a powerful offensive ahead of the second half of the season.
After the meeting, FC Polesie president Gennady Butkevich received an award for assistance and support to the 26th separate artillery brigade. The unity of sport, the strength and support of our advocates has real value.

Polesye’s official website lists Usyk as the team’s number 17 forward. The champion has repeatedly supported Wolves in official matches.

UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett said he dedicates his performance in the fight with Justin Gaethje at UFC 324 in Las Vegas to former Liverpool football player Diogo Jota.
Englishman Pimblett lost by unanimous decision to American Gaethje, who became the interim UFC lightweight champion. Portuguese Jota and his brother died in the summer of 2025 after being involved in a fatal accident in Spain.
