European boxing champion Soluyanova: why not be ashamed to listen to the chanson, the best party in life, what is written about her Exclusive

Athletes are people too. They have a life outside of training and competition. They are in business just like us, looking for something new, going out, reading a book, hanging out on YouTube etc. they love forever. Sport24 decided to talk about this part of their life.

European boxing champion Svetlana Soluyanova engages in creativity outside the ring. The athlete plays the guitar, writes poetry and songs, and also loves to sing, which he shares with his fans on social networks. Soluyanova talked about all this, the most memorable concert, breaking stereotypes about the Russian chanson and explaining why it is impossible to choose between Mikhail Krug and Sergey Nagovitsyn.

@soluyan51

– Music appeared in your life before boxing. How did you get into music school?

– As a child, I dreamed of a scene like many girls, so in the third grade my mother sent me to a music school.

— Why did you choose the accordion class?

– In general, the accordion appeared in my life because that year there was a complete set for the guitar class and there was no other place. But in the village, my great-uncle had an accordion, and since I was already working, there was nowhere to retreat. (laughs).

– How long have you been friends with the guitar?

He was in music school for a year as the guitar as an additional instrument. I was shown the simplest choices, the chords, and indeed, at this level of backyard chords, I gave up on my guitar knowledge.

– Is it possible to say that the creativity in you is from your mother, with whom you often sing together?

– Certainly! He just does it so much better, more or less familiar with the vocals. I didn’t have such a discipline in music school.

– If not for boxing, can we see you on stage now?

– Maybe, but not on stage (smiles).

@moscowboxingfederation

Do you remember when, where and how you wrote your first song?

– Now I can not particularly remember the first song, I know that it all began in my school years, when I became interested in the work of Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva and Diana Arbenina.

How is your songwriting process?

I once wrote “My songs are the extreme of anxiety” in one of them. Songs rarely come from anything good. Happiness doesn’t inspire me much for this job, it’s very calm, I just want to feel it and get high, and poems come naturally when there’s some kind of emotional turmoil.

I could write in class and finish on guitar at home, bring something from bootcamp and listen to music at home anyway, and sometimes just having a situation and letting the song go through was a disaster. . Then I already sat down and deliberately wrote a song on a certain topic.

– Which song do you like the most?

– Each song has its own unique story and they are all close to me, but only two positive ones: “About boxers” and “My friend is interesting.”

You once wrote, “All my songs are a bit of sarcastic sensual sadism.” Can you explain how?

– It’s simple: I always sing about pain absolutely sincerely, naturally and with a smile. Maybe it’s also about how much I torment my audience with my creativity. (laughs).

– You can find songs on different subjects, but which subject do you like more?

– In my opinion, a global theme prevails – about unhappy love. But it’s not my choice so it just pops up for a reason.

Recently, on occasion, I wanted to write about something very happy. [любовь]but still sad. I honestly don’t know how it works.

– You wrote a song for your coach once. Do you often dedicate your work to someone?

– In principle, we have a very creative team and for each birthday we compose songs for the birthday man.

I don’t have a single song that doesn’t have a specific addressee. All for someone, about someone and because of someone (smiles).

How many songs do you have in your collection?

– About 15-20.

Have you ever thought of releasing your album?

– It’s not an album, of course, but there were such thoughts. I was even told which of my poems would “go in”. Spoiler: much less than half (laughs). But since I want to perform them myself, I will have to do vocals for it. I thought it could wait, but nothing in the future is out of the question.

– You once admitted that you are not ready to show your works to the public, but now share them on social networks. Why did they change their minds?

– Of course, I do not remember the exact reason, but most likely I was worried about criticism in my direction, as I realized that I was an amateur in this field. Over time, it turned out that I didn’t care. I also saw that my songs were shared and recorded on Instagram. (A banned social network in Russia. – Sport24).

There are really songs that aren’t for the general public, but if I really want to hype it up, I’ll definitely be successful with them.

— Many creative people talk about finding inspiration to create their work. What is your inspiration?

– For me, inspiration is a kind of deep emotional shock, an excess of negative or positive emotions. I try not to deliberately create such situations.

– Who is your criterion in music?

– I have no direction. I’m not seriously interested in this subject, but maybe if I were, my direction would be something similar to something between Elena Vaenga and Inna Walter.

– Do you have any favorite artists?

– Yes, there are a lot of them in chanson, rock, there are favorite artists of the 90s, and I also love folk songs.

– Why not choose between Mikhail Krug and Sergey Nagovitsyn?

– It’s like choosing between Pugacheva and Rotaru, between Vysotsky and Tsoi. These are the greatest people and I cannot compare them.

Krug and Nagovitsyn are classics of Russian chanson. They left an indelible mark on the souls of many people with their songs, and they left us too soon.

– What was the most memorable concert in your life?

– Once I invited Alexander Vasilyevich Zvintsov to my anniversary. He sang his hits, songs by Mikhail Krug, and then my mother played his new song, uncle and grandfather. I slept too. It was finally the best party of my life. A few weeks ago, I attended a concert by Alexander Demin. There was so much happiness and stories (smiles).

– You said you don’t understand modern artists like LJ. What’s wrong with all the new popular artists?

– Globally, what’s wrong with them, I can’t answer. This is a very difficult question. They make quality music, serve everything brilliantly, make money, professionals work for them. I probably don’t understand where the soul should “turn around” and this is a very important criterion I look for in music.

@soluyan51

– Why do your subscribers think you only listen to chanson?

– In my case, it is like an antipode, which is very striking. Against this background, replays of Arbenina’s concerts and my training videos for the White Day group or Pugachev are somehow ignored.

– Many people think it is shameful to listen to chanson. Break that stereotype by saying why this isn’t the case?

-First of all, I believe that there is no bad style in music, just as there are no genres in literature and cinema. Everything that comes from the heart must go to the heart.

As for the Russian chanson, it is a very broad concept. It’s good because everyone can choose a direction close to it: urban romance, bard, courtyard, army, lyrical songs. This is already a matter of taste. I’ve already talked about why I love chanson: I can train and prepare to go to war under these hooligan, sassy and free songs that charge me and lift my spirits. But I can also listen to more lyrical songs.

Chanson is for everyone! In Russia, every person has at least one song of this genre, but it sank into the soul. As they say:

Which cities do I not visit?
And even if there is no problem,
If someone shouts “Vladimir Central”,
Millions will answer: “North wind”!

I don’t know why it would be embarrassing to listen to a particular genre. It’s a shame to offend the weak! It may be a shame not to read a book, the rest is a matter of taste.

Do you have a creative dream?

– Learn to sing, play the guitar normally and then record some of your songs in the studio.
