The head of the UFC announced the desire to organize a fight between Makhachev and Dariush
The head of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White, said he wants to fight between Russian Islam Makhachev and American Beneil Dariush.
A journalist asked White about a message former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov sent him about Makhachev.
Did he say I read it and didn’t answer? Nothing personal. There is no answer yet. I want to organize his fight with Beneil Dariush,” said the head of the UFC in an interview with ESPN.
In mixed martial arts, 30-year-old Makhachev won 22 victories and suffered one defeat. In his last fight in February, the Russian won the American Bobby Green by technical knockout. 33-year-old Dariush won 21 fights, lost four, and ended one more fight in a draw.
Earlier, White said he would like to watch Makhachev’s fight against the Brazilian Charles Oliveira.
