Previously, Konstantin Tszyu was the IBF, WBA and WBC light welterweight champion, which was enough to get the status of the absolute world champion. Later, for this title, it became necessary to get the WBO belt.
Sergei Kovalev also owned the WBA (Super), WBO and IBF light heavyweight belts.
Another Russian Dmitry Bivol owns the WBA (Super) belt. At the moment, all titles in this division belong to boxers from Russia.
