Russian Artur Beterbiev is the only world boxing champion who prematurely completed all his fights in the professional ring at this stage of his career.
Beterbiev on Sunday night in the United States in the second round by technical knockout defeated the American Joe Smith Jr. in a unification fight and became the world champion in the WBO, WBC and IBF versions. On account of the 37-year-old Beterbiev 18 early victories in 18 fights.
Of the other champions, WBA (Super), WBC, IBF bantamweight champion Japanese Naoya Inoue (23-0, 20 KOs), WBA (Super) and IBF super bantamweight belt holder Murodjon Akhmadaliev (10-0, 7 KOs), WBA (Super) and IBF middleweight champion of Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) and WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu (29-2, 25 KOs) from DR Congo.
