The rematch between WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine and Britain’s Anthony Joshua will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on August 20, their promoters announced on Sunday.
“Champion Oleksandr Usyk will put his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO world titles on the line against Anthony Joshua in the coastal city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Saturday August 20,” reads a statement released by the promoters. Matchroom Boxing.
Usyk, 35, had won the belts of three federations (IBF, WBA and WBO) last September, beating defender Joshua, 32, on points unanimously. The Briton had immediately demanded a rematch.
