New Trainer Joshua: Usyk is a great fighter. He has a full skill set”
American coach Robert GarciaPreparing British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) to take revenge against Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), he predicts victory for his ward.
“I see a completely different Anthony right now. I can tell by the way he thinks, the way he talks and the way he works hard in the gym.
I think he had a bad strategy but that’s in the past. Usyk did better that night, congratulations but we will do everything we can to win the belts back on August 20. I know that Anthony can do it. He has bigger, physically stronger, longer arms and we plan to take advantage of that.
Of course, we need to be ready for any little thing. Usyk is a great fighter. He has skills, reflexes, accuracy – the full package. But I think Anthony has all the tools to beat him.
I want my first heavyweight world champion. I already have 14 champions and he will be my 15th champion. “My first heavyweight champion will be very important to me,” Garcia said.
Recall that the Usyk-Joshua rematch will take place on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
